About Me

My name is Heather, I am a Yoga teacher, student, Craniosacral Therapist, Wellness Massage and Thai Massage Practitioner.
I was born on beautiful Vancouver Island. In 2004 I moved to the unceded and traditional territory of the Pacheedaht and T’sou-ke first Nation people, Sooke, BC. It’s close to nature, and has been the perfect place to raise my adored daughter, Lily.
Most of my spare time is spent in or alongside the sea, or deep in the forest with my loyal dogs Zuri and Lucky. The rhythms of the natural world have always inspired me, and serve as a reverent and reassuring reminder that we are all deeply connected and a part of something expansive and profound.
It has become my path (and a great love) to help you remember your highest self through the ancient teachings of Yoga, movement and different bodywork modalities.
I offer a safe and nurturing space for you to show up as you are with whatever life brings.

My Yoga Journey

The first time I stepped onto
my Yoga mat I was 19.
I’ll be honest, I was drawn there for the physical aspects of practice..or so I thought. Unbeknownst to me and not far into my first Yoga class I began to experience what I had been deeply seeking for my formative years. I found a meaningful connection to myself and my place in this world. My own innate wholeness. Yoga was the first step in the long, continual and sacred journey of remembering myself. It escorts me from an outward world to an inward one that helps me to live and be more well.
My physical practice ebbed and flowed alongside my life for many years, as a young adult, through my pregnancy with my daughter, her birth, Motherhood, parenting and all other aspects of life. It wasn't always just asana (the physical practice of Yoga), or perfect! However, seeds of the teachings had been planted and they began to take root.
In 2005 I took my first Yoga teacher training and I began teaching Yoga in 2005 and have remained a devoted student and teacher. I continued to attend teacher trainings, immersions, workshops, practice, and study groups… All to amplify my understanding, knowledge and passion as both a student and teacher of the Yoga traditions.
I do not wander far from my Yoga practice. The ancient Yoga teachings affirm and nurture a deep knowing, and illuminate so much beauty. My practice and studies have offered immense support through all the turbulence, ease, joys, griefs, light and dark of my precious life. Yoga is a tried and true companion.
My intention as a Yoga teacher and human being, is to honour the Yoga traditions and offer the ancient teachings, in a safe and accessible way. I cultivate a container in which you are able to invite all parts of yourself, light and shadow, throughout your own turbulence and ease. I want you to be reminded that you are a whole being full of radiant light and endless wisdom. Your path to healing is inside of you.
It truly doesn't matter what led you to Yoga, there is no hierarchy. Everybody belongs. I welcome you with deep bows and so much love… Here comes your unfolding.
My healing journey and how I Landed in the seat of a Bodyworker and Wellness practitioner
Just like anyone I have been faced with challenges I have grown through and ones that I gently hold as they continue to move alongside me in this life. Inclusive and not limited to trauma, grief, anxiety, and injury.
Although Yoga has been an incredible gift in my life, I have also called on and been blessed with the support of many body/energy work practitioners throughout this wild ride of life.
I think it would be fair to say that because of the immense healing, sustenance and connection made not only myself and others, through different modalities it has helped shape an already inspired path. This has allowed me to follow my own dream of supporting and connecting with people to help them remember their highest self, to offer support and openings into their own healing.

I have always lived an active and west coast life…playing sports, surfing in the ocean, running, hiking in nature and dancing. I enjoy moving my body in many ways, working hard, being expressive and empathetic with others. Massage and Thai massage have been so incredible in helping me to tend to the altar of my body and being. It has helped me to notice, listen, receive, relieve tension from sore muscles, provide comfort from therapeutic touch and to make space for processing my feelings and life. These modalities have been paramount in aligning my body and being on many levels.
In 2017, I suffered from a concussion playing soccer that left me looking seemingly “ok” on the outside but really challenged to keep myself together emotionally, physically and spiritually. It amplified my anxiety, made me feel depressed, created an incredible amount of tension in my neck, head and eyes, slowed my digestion, left me unable to focus and concentrate, and affected my memory and ability to be around people and noise. It created misalignments both physically and emotionally. I sought support from different modalities. When I found Craniosacral Therapy and continued with massages it shifted my concussion symptoms and helped me realign in every aspect of my life.
It was from there I began my studies as a Wellness Massage practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist. Now, with great joy and excitement I offer these modalities as another tool in tending the the altar of your body and being.
I share snippets of my story not to make it about me but to remind you that you are not alone as you navigate life’s ebbs and flows. Healing is not a destination but a practice in being compassionately aware of ourselves and choosing support and alignment over and over.
I am enlivened by humans, their stories and journeys. Beyond what we see on the surface, the many layers of what makes us who we are.
I am here to support and hold space for you as you are and as your life has been in order for you to foster healing, resilience, remembering, and safety.
